I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP 408974) and a UKCP psychotherapist in advanced clinical training.
As well as working in private practice, I have worked as a psychotherapist in training both in the hospice movement and in general practice at a low-cost counselling service in Exeter.
Before beginning to train as a psychotherapist, I initially worked as a solicitor in London and subsequently taught for many years in both state and independent schools across the UK. I have also worked in a large German engineering company and in a tiny French charcuterie business.
For me, whatever my job, it’s always been about the people.
I have worked with clients in placement and private practice since 2021. I have experience of working with a range of issues, including bereavement and loss, complex grief, suicidal ideation, anxiety, stress, depression, relationship problems and difficulties from the past that are causing problems in the present. I have additional CPD training in bereavement, complex grief, attachment issues and suicide awareness.
